Facts to know about Nigeria. Part 1

Nigeria is a multicultural nation. Many ethnic groups and many more cultures. Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa are identified as the major ethnic groups but there is so much more about Nigeria. For example the Igbo tribe of Nigeria admit to speaking different versions of the language. Their is the delta Igbo and some even say Anambara and Imo Igbo sounds different but, this is up for argument.
The Hausa's also have a different presentation of the language depending on where you are from. The Hausa's in Jos, Kaduna and Nasarawa speak with a different tonation compared to those in Katsina, Yobe, Sokoto, Kano and Adamawa.
Nigeria is home to seven percent of the total languages spoken on earth. Now, how amazing is that!
Some states have as many as 30 languages. For example Taraba state has more ethnic groups than you can find in some African countries. Now, is that not a wealth. It makes room for making so much from this cultures that we can derive if promoted well.
Benin ( the Edo people) are known to be very famous for their interest in promoting their culture through powerful use of art.
The Yoruba's are known for their proud display of culture through their music. Yoruba's musicians always find a way to infuse their language into their music. Fela paved the way.
Some ethnic groups are perhaps swallowed because most ethni groups in Nigeria were created out of the wealth of other ethnic groups.
Nigeria has a lot of minor ethnic groups, these ethnic groups also have rich cultures but as earlier mentioned are swallowed by the domination of the major ethnic groups.

Aside from the Igbo's, Yoruba's and Hausa's some of the ethnic groups worth noting with rich cultural heritage include; Berom, Ibibio, Anaguta, Eggon, Jukuns, Angas, Mupun, Mada, Maghavul and the Miango.
